Companhia Paranaense de Energia (COPEL) has announced the sale of a 51% stake in Companhia Paranaense de Gás (Compagas) to Compass Dois Ltda., part of their strategy to focus on core business and portfolio decarbonization. The equity value of the deal is R$906.0 million, with payment scheduled in stages up to December 2026. The transaction’s completion hinges on certain conditions, including approval by the competent authorities.
