CMC Metals Refocuses After Gavilanes Setback

CMC Metals (TSE:CMB) has released an update.

CMC Metals Ltd. has announced the cancellation of its plans for a $1.2 million private placement and its agreement to acquire the Gavilanes Project in Mexico, due to the Mexican authority SEMARNAT’s rejection of the exploration permit renewal. The company will now refocus on its Silverknife Property in British Columbia, which promises significant exploration potential for high-grade silver, lead, and zinc deposits. Although the Gavilanes setback was unexpected and beyond CMC’s control, they remain open to future involvement with the project under new terms.
