Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals ( (AU:CUV) ) has issued an announcement.
Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals has received final scientific advice from the European Medicines Agency on the design and evaluation framework for its pivotal Phase III CUV107 trial of SCENESSE as a systemic treatment for non-segmental vitiligo. The guidance confirms a “totality of evidence” regulatory approach, emphasising photographic assessments, validated disease tools and patient-reported outcomes, particularly in patients with darker skin types, with the 300‑patient study comparing SCENESSE plus NB‑UVB against NB‑UVB alone and slated to begin in the second half of 2026.
The EMA’s stance gives Clinuvel a clearer regulatory pathway and aligns the trial design with how efficacy and safety data will ultimately be judged for a potential vitiligo marketing authorisation. By prioritising visible repigmentation and patient perception, and focusing first on darker‑skinned patients who experience the most pronounced disease burden, the advice strengthens Clinuvel’s positioning in an area with no approved systemic therapies for extensive vitiligo and may support broader clinical and commercial prospects for SCENESSE beyond its current niche indication.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:CUV) stock is a Buy with a A$27.90 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals stock, see the AU:CUV Stock Forecast page.
