Cleanaway Waste Management ( (AU:CWY) ) has issued an update.
Cleanaway Waste Management has updated its FY26 earnings outlook to reflect the financial impact of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which has driven higher fuel, supplier and logistics costs and reduced activity in its Contract Resources business in the region. The company now expects FY26 EBIT of $460 million to $480 million, down from its previous range of $480 million to $500 million, with an estimated adverse EBIT impact of about $20 million tied largely to timing delays in recovering elevated fuel costs rather than structural margin pressure.
Management highlighted that established fuel cost pass-through mechanisms, including fuel levies, indexed repricing and contract resets, together with strategic long-term fuel supply partnerships, have so far ensured reliable access to competitively priced fuel and mitigated volatility. While the war has introduced greater uncertainty, particularly around projects, Cleanaway expects most contracted prices to incorporate recent fuel price increases by 1 July 2026, with remaining adjustments flowing through in FY27 as fuel markets and recovery mechanisms normalise.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:CWY) stock is a Buy with a A$3.11 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Cleanaway Waste Management stock, see the AU:CWY Stock Forecast page.
