Link-Asia International Medtech Group Ltd. ( (HK:1143) ) has provided an update.
China Energy Storage Technology Development Limited has issued a supplemental announcement regarding the resignation of executive director Wang Qi and a breach of Hong Kong’s Takeovers Code. Wang resigned effective 18 March 2026 to focus on other business interests, with the board stating he had no disagreements and no issues requiring shareholder attention.
The company acknowledged that Wang’s resignation took effect during a period when a bona fide privatisation offer was imminent, contravening Rule 7 of the Takeovers Code. It attributed the non-compliance to a failure to recognise the rule and to seek professional advice, and has now pledged to observe the code carefully and consult advisers, while clarifying that Wang is not a shareholder, not acting in concert with the offeror, and not involved in the privatisation proposal beyond preliminary discussions.
