China Electronics Optics Valley Union Holding Company Limited announced the resignation of independent non-executive director Qi Min, who is also stepping down from the audit, remuneration and nomination committees, citing advanced age and a tenure of more than nine years. The board thanked Qi for his service and noted that he has no disagreement with the board and no matters requiring shareholders’ attention.
Following Qi’s departure, the company no longer satisfies Hong Kong Listing Rules relating to the minimum number and proportion of independent non-executive directors and the required composition of its key board committees. The company said it is working to identify a new independent non-executive director and committee member as soon as practicable to restore compliance, and will make further announcements when appropriate.
