China Eastern Airlines reported a robust increase in travel demand in July 2024, with passenger transportation capacity and traffic volume surpassing 2019 levels, indicating a strong recovery in the aviation sector. The airline expanded its network with new and resumed routes domestically and internationally, capitalizing on the summer travel peak. Specifically, domestic capacity reached 122.77% while international and regional capacities recovered to 103.63% and 92.81% of 2019 figures, respectively.
