An announcement from Challenger ( (AU:CGF) ) is now available.

Challenger reported a strong third quarter in its life business, with total life sales rising 19% to $1.7 billion and annuity sales up 10% to $1.1 billion, driven by robust demand for domestic lifetime annuities and Japanese reinsurance annuities. Annuity net book growth reached 1.7% for the quarter, supported by moderating maturities, while the life company remained well capitalised with a PCA ratio of 1.51 times and plans to redeem Challenger Capital Notes 3 after reviewing capital requirements.

The group advanced its retirement strategy by deepening partnerships with major super funds and platforms, including BT, MLC and Iress, to deliver integrated retirement income and advice solutions that should broaden access to lifetime income products. However, Funds Management FUM fell 10% to $104.5 billion amid institutional equity outflows and adverse markets linked to geopolitical tensions, partially offset by positive net flows in Challenger Investment Management, while the company tightened its FY26 earnings guidance, underscoring disciplined capital and growth management in a volatile environment.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:CGF) stock is a Hold with a A$8.60 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Challenger stock, see the AU:CGF Stock Forecast page.
