Challenger Flags Historic Oversight in Director Interest Disclosure

Challenger ( (AU:CGF) ) just unveiled an update.

Challenger Limited has disclosed an historic oversight in reporting a director’s interest in an unlisted managed investment scheme issued by its subsidiary, Fidante Partners. The interest, held indirectly by director Melanie Willis via the Wyong Super Fund and her spouse, was acquired in April 2021 but was not notified to the ASX at that time due to an error in company policy and subsequent administrative oversight.

The omission came to light when Willis notified the company of the divestment of those Fidante units in March 2026, prompting Challenger to file corrective Appendix 3Y notices. Challenger maintains that its processes to comply with ASX Listing Rule 3.19A.2 are adequate but has reinforced internal procedures, signalling to investors and regulators a renewed focus on governance and disclosure controls.
