Centrica plc has recently enhanced its treasury shares by purchasing 848,014 ordinary shares at an average price of 128.2300 pence each, as part of its share buyback program announced earlier in August. With this latest transaction, the company’s total buyback expenditure has reached over £12 million for nearly 10 million shares. Post-purchase, Centrica holds over 444 million shares in treasury and maintains over 5 billion shares in issue, excluding those in treasury.
