Central Asia Metals ( (GB:CAML) ) just unveiled an update.

Central Asia Metals has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, covering its performance at the Kounrad copper operation in Kazakhstan and the Sasa zinc-lead mine in North Macedonia and aligning disclosures with GRI Standards, SASB and the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management. The report underlines the integration of sustainability into core operations through safety, environmental stewardship and community engagement.

The miner reported zero fatalities in 2025 and a lost-time injury frequency rate of 0.39, comfortably below its target of 1.13, as it pursues a zero-harm safety culture supported by leadership-led site walkthroughs and targeted training. On workforce metrics, it achieved an 18% increase in female employees versus 2021, maintained 99% local employment and recorded no days lost to labour unrest, reflecting its focus on retention, fair conditions and local hiring.

Environmental performance showed zero severe or major incidents and a 45% reduction in group greenhouse gas emissions from 2020, driven in part by solar power at Kounrad, as the group works toward a 50% emissions cut by 2030 and net zero by 2050. At Sasa, integrated use of underground water now covers most milling needs, reducing reliance on surface abstraction, and 63% of tailings in 2025 were stored via paste backfill and dry-stack methods toward a 70% target by end-2026.

Community investment remained anchored at around 0.5% of group revenue through site foundations, with $0.8 million directed in 2025 to local education, youth facilities and emergency support, including response to a nightclub fire in North Macedonia. Management emphasised that responsible production, from lower carbon intensity to stronger communities, delivers both ethical and financial benefits, from lower power costs to improved productivity, reinforcing the company’s long-term sustainability positioning for shareholders and host communities alike.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:CAML) stock is a Hold with a £190.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Central Asia Metals stock, see the GB:CAML Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on CAML Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, CAML is a Neutral.

The score is supported by a conservatively financed balance sheet and resilient cash generation, reinforced by management commentary on strong EBITDA/FCF and continued dividends. Offsetting this are elevated earnings volatility (including the impairment-driven loss) and clearly bearish technical signals with the stock trading below key moving averages.
