Cathay Pacific Airways (HK:0293) has released an update.
Cathay Pacific Airways reported a 13.8% increase in revenue to HK$49,604 million in the first half of 2024, despite a 15.3% drop in profit attributable to shareholders compared to the previous year. The airline also saw a significant expansion in operational capacity with a 22.8% increase in available tonne kilometres and a 42.7% rise in available seat kilometres, though passenger and cargo yields declined. In terms of liquidity, the company improved with a 27.2% increase in available unrestricted liquidity, and a decrease in net borrowings by 9.1%.
