Caspian Sunrise Delivers First Oil and Eyes Production Licence at West Shalva

The latest update is out from Caspian Sunrise ( (GB:CASP) ).

Caspian Sunrise has reported first oil from its initial well at the West Shalva Contract Area, where a perforated interval at around 2,250 meters has flowed sustainably at approximately 300 barrels of oil per day over three days. The well had initially been planned to drill deeper to test Triassic reservoirs, but improved conditions allowed further testing at the existing interval, producing high paraffin content oil despite ongoing cold weather constraints on flow and storage.

The company expects production rates to rise once weatherproofing work at West Shalva is completed and intends to keep producing from this well while spudding a new Triassic-targeting well in the first half of 2026. Management also plans to seek an upgrade of the West Shalva licence to full production status towards the end of the year, with Chairman Clive Carver highlighting that successful output from the first well validates the potential of the contract area and will enable a resumption of Caspian Sunrise’s profitable oil trading operations.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:CASP) stock is a Buy with a £3.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Caspian Sunrise stock, see the GB:CASP Stock Forecast page.
