Cascade Copper Corp. ( (TSE:CASC) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Cascade Copper Corp. has secured approval for its maiden drilling program at the Centrefire Copper-Gold Project, located about 40 kilometres northeast of Dryden, Ontario. The program will focus on the high-grade Main Gossan Zone and associated banded iron formations, guided by historic data, trenching, rock sampling, and 3D inversion modelling of high-resolution airborne magnetic surveys.
Initial plans call for up to 1,000 metres of drilling in four or five holes starting in the second quarter of 2026, targeting near-surface feeder zones and deeper massive sulphide lenses. The company has also obtained an Ontario Junior Exploration Program grant that reimburses 50% of its 2025 exploration costs at Centrefire, bolstering funding for ongoing work and underscoring provincial support for critical minerals exploration in the region.
Following the upcoming drill program, Cascade Copper intends to continue exploration along strike to test additional magnetic disruption targets that may indicate further copper and gold mineralization. Planned next steps include gridded geochemical sampling and, contingent on positive results, an additional EM survey to the east to refine subsurface targets and potentially expand the project’s mineralized footprint.
