Cartier Resources ( (TSE:ECR) ) has shared an update.

Cartier Resources has identified a new porphyritic intrusion-related gold system in the Hope Sector of its Cadillac Project, reporting intercepts such as 5.2 g/t gold over 5.0 meters and 1.2 g/t over 25.5 meters in Pontiac sedimentary rocks south of the Cadillac Fault. The discovery of two mineralized porphyry intrusions, with mineralization open in all directions and supported by strong geophysical targets, significantly expands the project’s geological potential and positions Cadillac as a possible analogue to the Malartic mining camp, prompting Cartier to revise its 2026 drilling strategy and prioritize further exploration in the area.

The company reports that Porphyry #1 extends at least 750 meters along strike and 250 meters in depth, while Porphyry #2, located 2 kilometers east, has already yielded visible gold with assays pending. Additional drilling and detailed lithogeochemical studies are planned to refine the geological model, assess the scale of the system, and better correlate the intrusions with known large gold deposits in the region, underscoring substantial upside for future resource growth and project advancement.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:ECR) stock is a Hold with a C$0.29 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Cartier Resources stock, see the TSE:ECR Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on ECR Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, ECR is a Neutral.

The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance (no revenue, widening losses, and ongoing cash burn), partially offset by a strong low-debt balance sheet. Technicals are constructive with price above key moving averages, though momentum looks stretched (RSI ~70). Recent corporate events are notably positive, highlighted by a sizable resource expansion and continued high-grade exploration progress, but valuation remains constrained by the company’s loss-making status and lack of dividend.
