Carrier Connect Data Solutions Inc. ( (TSE:CCDS) ) has issued an update.
Carrier Connect Data Solutions Inc., a carrier-neutral operator of Tier II/III data centers serving AI firms, service providers, enterprises and small businesses, runs facilities in key Canadian markets and Perth, Australia. Its data centers host servers, storage and networking hardware for clients that rely on its infrastructure as main or backup sites.
Carrier has signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire network connectivity and delivery assets from Vancouver-based Morewave Communication Inc., a last-mile connectivity provider across Western Canada. The all-share, $750,000 proposed deal is expected to immediately boost Carrier’s revenue by 15% to 20% and add a profitable network services line it can sell across its entire data center portfolio.
Morewave currently generates about $725,000 in annual recurring revenue with profit margins above 25%, and its services would allow Carrier to streamline internet connectivity offerings for its customers. The contemplated arm’s-length transaction, with consideration shares released in tranches over two years, remains subject to a definitive agreement, regulatory approvals and due diligence before closing.
