Carrier Connect Data Solutions Inc. ( (TSE:CCDS) ) has shared an announcement.

Carrier Connect Data Solutions Inc. has completed the acquisition of the principal business assets of a data center operation in Saint John, New Brunswick, from Carbon60 Operating Co. Ltd. for $1.6 million in cash plus a $150,000 deferred payment subject to customary adjustments, executed through its wholly owned subsidiary PureColo Inc. The deal expands Carrier Connect’s portfolio to five data centers across Canada and Australia, extending its geographic footprint to Atlantic Canada and enhancing national coverage, scale and location choice for customers, which management says should improve efficiency in delivering co-location data center services without the use of finders’ fees in the transaction.

By adding the Saint John facility, Carrier Connect strengthens its presence in secondary data center markets and deepens its strategy of consolidating Tier II and Tier III sites that support AI-focused and enterprise workloads. The increased scale and diversified regional reach may bolster the company’s competitive positioning in co-location services, potentially benefiting existing and prospective clients seeking distributed infrastructure across multiple Canadian regions.
