Capricorn Energy PLC has announced the purchase of its own shares for cancellation, amounting to a total of 5,618 shares across various trading venues at an average price of 225.99 GBP per share. The buyback is part of a larger share repurchase program initiated on 4 May 2023, which has seen the company acquire 8,167,417 shares to date at a cost of £18,824,921. Following the cancellation of the purchased shares, the company’s total number of ordinary shares and voting rights stands at 71,071,321.
