Capital & Regional plc, currently in a potential acquisition scenario, has announced a deadline extension for NewRiver REIT plc to declare its firm intention to make an offer for the company. This extension, approved by the Takeover Panel, moves the decision deadline to 26 September 2024. There is, however, no certainty that NewRiver will proceed with an offer for Capital & Regional, leaving the company’s future open to speculation.
