Canfor Pulp Cuts Production Amid Fibre Shortage

Canfor Pulp Products (TSE:CFX) has released an update.

Canfor Pulp Products Inc. is set to indefinitely halt one of its production lines at the Northwood facility, impacting 220 jobs and reducing its annual market kraft pulp production by approximately 300,000 tonnes. This decision arises from the persistent shortage of economic fibre in British Columbia’s northern region, which has also affected the local timber industry. The company plans to support affected employees through a transition team and collaboration with the union.
