CANEX Metals ( (TSE:CANX) ) just unveiled an announcement.
CANEX Metals has confirmed that Gold Basin Resources shareholders elected an entirely new five-member board at the company’s annual general meeting, with all resolutions passed unanimously on a turnout representing more than half of the outstanding shares. The newly appointed leadership, including Shane Ebert as CEO and a refreshed audit committee, is tasked with resolving Gold Basin’s regulatory and compliance issues and repositioning it in Arizona’s oxide gold district.
As Gold Basin’s controlling shareholder, CANEX sees the governance overhaul as a key step toward stabilizing the asset, restoring regulatory standing after a cease trade order and ultimately pursuing a full privatization of Gold Basin. The company has already issued over 41 million CANEX shares under its February take-over bid and envisions more aggressive exploration across the combined Gold Range–Gold Basin district once the transaction is completed, with the aim of unlocking a large-scale gold camp for investors.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:CANX) stock is a Hold with a C$0.23 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on CANEX Metals stock, see the TSE:CANX Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on CANX Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, CANX is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by weak financial performance (no revenue, ongoing losses, and continued cash burn). Technicals provide some support from the price being above longer-term moving averages, but near-term momentum is only neutral-to-soft. Valuation contributes little support due to a loss-driven negative P/E and no dividend yield data.
