Canadian Solar Subsidiary Secures $500M BlackRock Investment

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) has released an update.

Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar, has finalized a significant $500 million investment from BlackRock, aimed at reinforcing its development of solar and energy storage assets globally. This partnership enables Recurrent Energy to evolve from solely developing projects to also managing and operating them, particularly in the U.S. and Europe, marking a strategic shift towards more stable, long-term revenue streams. With BlackRock’s investment, Recurrent Energy strengthens its position as a major player in the renewable energy sector, with over 11 GW of solar projects and 3.7 GWh of energy storage developed since 2009.
