The latest announcement is out from Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund.Inc. ( (JP:9284) ).
Canadian Solar Infrastructure Fund reported that its portfolio of 35 solar power facilities generated 18,441,346 kWh in January 2026, equivalent to 114.32% of forecast output based on independent technical reports. The outperformance was attributed to generally stable irradiance conditions, even though some plants experienced temporary output curtailments by grid operators and snowfall-related effects.
The strong generation resulted in an estimated 7.7 million kg of CO2 emissions avoided in January, underscoring the fund’s contribution to Japan’s decarbonization goals. While certain sites, such as Daisen-cho, Takayama-shi and Shichikashuku-machi, underperformed forecasts, others like Ishikari Shinshinotsu-mura, Hiji-machi Dai-ni and Izu-shi significantly exceeded expectations, supporting overall portfolio resilience and revenue stability for investors.
