Canacol Energy Ltd. recently announced a significant new gas discovery at Chontaduro 1, with the well revealing 123 feet of net gas pay and demonstrating an impressive initial production rate of 12 million standard cubic feet per day. This discovery in Colombia’s VIM21 E&P contract area underscores Canacol’s ongoing commitment to expanding its natural gas operations in the region. The company also plans to further appraise this discovery with the drilling of the Chontaduro 2 well, starting mid-April 2024.
