Cambi ASA has signed a medium-sized contract with NCC to deliver two thermal hydrolysis process systems to the Malad wastewater treatment plant in Mumbai, India, formalising a previously announced letter of intent. The contract, valued in the NOK 50–100 million range, provides for equipment delivery in 2027 and supports Mumbai’s ongoing programme to modernise its wastewater treatment infrastructure.
The deal reinforces Cambi’s presence in the Indian wastewater market and underscores the growing international adoption of its thermal hydrolysis technology. By contributing to enhanced energy recovery and lower emissions at a major treatment facility, the contract strengthens Cambi’s position in the global biogas and sludge treatment segment and may support its long-term growth and market leadership ambitions.
