Australian company Calix Limited has secured a $15 million grant for the construction of a pioneering renewably powered carbon capture and use (CCU) demonstration plant. This facility aims to produce near-zero emissions lime and cement while supplying captured CO2 to the Solar Methanol 1 project. The initiative, which includes a collaboration with industry partners, stands to create multiple revenue streams and support decarbonization efforts in hard-to-abate sectors.
