Calian Group Ltd., an Ottawa-based technology firm, has been chosen by Telesat to develop and manage the Element Management System (EMS) for the Telesat Lightspeed network. This advanced EMS will ensure seamless connectivity and operations for Telesat’s Low Earth Orbit satellite network, which aims to provide high-speed, low-latency broadband access to remote and underserved areas globally. Calian’s contribution signifies a major step towards Canada’s leadership in the New Space Economy and the bridging of the digital divide.
