Aukett Swanke ( (GB:BUC) ) has shared an update.
Built Cybernetics has reported rapid early progress at its Belfast-based smart cities software unit MapBI, less than three months after acquiring the Active Maps 3D visualisation platform out of the liquidation of 3DEO (NI) Limited. All of 3DEO’s former clients have now signed agreements with MapBI, generating about £20,000 in monthly recurring revenue, while trade debtors and cash receipts since acquisition have broadly covered the unit’s roughly £40,000 monthly cash costs, part of which relates to ongoing software development. MapBI has also been selected as one of eight participants, from 150 applicants, in Thames Freeport’s 10-week Connectivity Lab innovation programme, where it will build a digital twin of the DP World London Gateway container port to deliver operational insights, and the business reports a healthy pipeline of new prospects, including interest from Built Cybernetics’ existing property-focused clientele, underlining the group’s push to grow higher-margin, scalable SaaS revenues in smart cities and smart ports.
