Brookfield Reinsurance Ltd. has successfully completed its acquisition of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company (AEL), enhancing its insurance operations and increasing its insurance assets under management to over $100 billion. The transaction, valued at $56.50 per AEL share, is expected to strengthen Brookfield’s retirement services capabilities and support job growth in Des Moines, Iowa, where AEL is headquartered. Brookfield is committed to maintaining AEL’s community presence and charitable contributions in the area.
