Brookfield Reinsurance is set to finalize its acquisition of American Equity Investment Life Holding Company (AEL) on May 2, 2024, after market close. The merger will combine Brookfield’s expertise in insurance and reinsurance services with AEL’s strong presence in the annuity product market and its network of over 40,000 independent agents and advisors. As both companies prepare for the acquisition, they anticipate it will enhance their financial products portfolio and market reach.
