Brookfield Infrastructure ( (BIP) ) has provided an announcement.
Brookfield Infrastructure reported strong financial and operating results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, highlighted by a 10% year-on-year rise in funds from operations to $709 million, or $0.90 per unit, despite a net loss of $61 million tied to one-off unrealized hedge losses in its midstream business. Management said organic growth near the top of its 6%–9% target range, robust performance in data and midstream, and contributions from $1.4 billion of recent investments helped offset earnings forgone from $3.6 billion of asset sales completed over the past year.
The company advanced several strategic initiatives in the period, securing about $400 million of new investment opportunities, including a new equipment leasing platform with a global OEM and an additional $430 million project under its $5 billion partnership with Bloom Energy. Brookfield Infrastructure also moved closer to acquiring New Zealand gas utility Clarus, accelerated its capital recycling program with nearly $1 billion of proceeds from asset sales and partnerships across data centers, Brazilian transmission and gas storage, and posted solid segment-level FFO growth led by a 46% surge in data and double-digit expansion in midstream, reinforcing its positioning as a partner of choice for large-scale infrastructure deployment.
The most recent analyst rating on (BIP) stock is a Buy with a $41.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Brookfield Infrastructure stock, see the BIP Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on BIP Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BIP is a Neutral.
The score is held back primarily by very high leverage and uneven free cash flow despite strong revenue growth and solid operating margins. Technicals are mixed/neutral and do not materially offset the balance-sheet risk, while valuation is stretched given the high P/E and only modest dividend yield.
