The latest update is out from Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. Class A ( (TSE:BAM) ).

On May 6, 2026, Brookfield Asset Management completed its all-cash acquisition of Peakstone Realty Trust in a deal valuing Peakstone at approximately $1.2 billion, paying shareholders $21.00 per share. Peakstone has been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and converted to a privately held company following the closing.

The transaction adds more than 70 industrial assets, including industrial outdoor storage and traditional industrial properties, to Brookfield’s global logistics platform, which already spans over 160 million square feet across 19 countries. Brookfield says the deal strengthens its industrial real estate footprint and deepens its exposure to the fast-growing industrial outdoor storage segment, aligning the portfolio with long-term logistics demand trends and creating scope for operational value creation.
