Brookfield and ALTÉRRA’s $5 Billion Climate Fund

Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. Class A (TSE:BAM) has released an update.

Brookfield Asset Management has partnered with ALTÉRRA to launch the Catalytic Transition Fund (CTF), aimed at investing in clean energy and transition assets in emerging markets, with a fundraising target of up to $5 billion. The initiative, backed by a $1 billion commitment from ALTÉRRA, seeks to address the climate transition in developing countries where investment is critically needed. CTF is touted as a private capital solution to drive decarbonization and generate attractive returns, with a first close expected by the end of 2024.
