Brightstar Resources Limited ( (AU:BTR) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Brightstar Resources says construction of its Goldfields Project is set to commence, with a final investment decision targeted for May 2026 alongside key regulatory approvals and the execution of an EPC contract with GR Engineering Services for the Laverton processing plant. Early works by GR Engineering, including detailed engineering and ordering of long-lead equipment, have kept the project on schedule for first gold production in the June quarter of 2027 at about 75,000 ounces per year over six years.

Site remediation and preparatory works are under way, supported by a mobilised mobile fleet and personnel, with a 170-person camp at the Fish Mine now operational for construction use. Brightstar has selected OCTA Group as preferred power supplier with an integrated LNG power station and supply solution, while long-lead power equipment, borefield development for process water, and key owner’s team appointments are in place to de-risk project delivery.

An exploration RC drilling program at the Lord Byron deposit is targeting infill and extensional mineralisation to enable potential re-optimisation or re-sizing of that mine plan. The company is also assessing a mill expansion case to 2.5Mtpa and higher-grade ore prioritisation, which could enhance production metrics beyond those outlined in its current definitive feasibility study and improve overall project economics for stakeholders.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:BTR) stock is a Buy with a A$2.40 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Brightstar Resources Limited stock, see the AU:BTR Stock Forecast page.
