BBX Minerals Limited ( (AU:BCM) ) has shared an update.
Brazilian Critical Minerals has significantly upgraded the mineral resource estimate for its Ema rare earth project in Brazil, confirming it as one of the largest ionic clay adsorption deposits globally and the only known in-situ recovery-ready rare earth project in the Western world. The total indicated and inferred resource now stands at 1.07 billion tonnes at 732 ppm total rare earth oxides, with the indicated component rising 58% to 392 million tonnes and notable grade uplifts in key magnet metals NdPr and DyTb, materially de-risking development and supporting a low-cost, long-life production profile as the bankable feasibility study nears completion in the second quarter.
The company highlighted Ema’s near-surface mineralisation and suitability for in-situ recovery, the same extraction method that underpins most global ionic clay rare earth supply, positioning the project as a potential competitive Western source of critical rare earths. The updated estimate, prepared under JORC 2012 by GE21 Consultaria Mineral using extensive drilling data, strengthens Brazilian Critical Minerals’ industry positioning in the rare earth sector and enhances its appeal to stakeholders seeking secure, large-scale magnet metal supply from outside China.
