Stemcell United Ltd. ( (AU:BP8) ) has provided an announcement.
BPH Global has secured a binding two-year lease over a 3.4-hectare coastal site in Laikang Village, South Sulawesi, approximately 40–50 kilometres south of Makassar, to expand its seaweed cultivation and processing activities. The site includes existing aquaculture pools and space for new tanks, warehouses and drying areas, positioning the company to boost production of sea grapes, multiple seaweed species and related food, nutraceutical and agricultural products.
The move is described as a strategic step in strengthening BPH Global’s controlled cultivation capacity and Indonesian operating footprint while supporting downstream product development. Proximity to Makassar, a major logistics hub, is expected to enhance export access and integration with the company’s existing Indonesian operations, underlining its ambitions in the regional seaweed value chain.
