Bougainville Copper Limited has announced the sudden passing of its CEO, Mr. Johnny Patterson Auna, who had been with the company since March 2024 and was appointed CEO in January 2025. Mr. Auna, a respected executive with over 35 years of experience, had a significant positive impact on the company during a pivotal period. The company’s chairman, Sir Melchior Togolo, will serve as Acting CEO until a permanent replacement is appointed.
