Borealis Mining Pushes Sandman Gold Project Toward Development With Engineering and Permitting Drive

Borealis Mining has moved its Sandman Gold Project in Nevada into an execution-focused phase, launching detailed engineering, metallurgical, drilling and technical programs following a recent preliminary economic assessment. The company has appointed M3 Engineering as lead engineer and RESPEC to support mining, geology, resource modeling and hydrogeology, aiming to optimize mine design across Sandman’s four deposits and advance the project to a technically defined, buildable gold operation.

In parallel, Borealis has begun environmental baseline studies and permitting work by engaging Sunstone Environmental Solutions and U.S. permitting counsel Hunton Andrews Kurth to shape a federal and state permitting strategy for both Sandman and the Borealis Mine. The company is also evaluating development scenarios that leverage its existing ADR facility at the Borealis Mine, seeking to lower initial capital costs and accelerate Sandman’s path toward a future construction decision and potential production.
