The latest update is out from Bank of Queensland ( (AU:BOQ) ).

Bank of Queensland has entered a strategic capital partnership with Challenger involving a $3.7 billion whole-of-loan sale and a forward flow arrangement for equipment finance assets, primarily serving SME customers. The deal shifts direct credit risk to Challenger, allows BOQ to keep originating and servicing loans off balance sheet, and is expected to optimise funding, strengthen capital efficiency and support capital-light growth.

BOQ plans to return about $300 million to shareholders via an on-market buyback and a fully franked special dividend, subject to approvals, while maintaining its CET1 target range. Management expects the partnership to be EPS and ROE accretive, supported by new non-interest income streams from servicing fees, reduced debt funding, and an anticipated FY26 cash ROE uplift of 15–25 basis points despite a one-off $31 million post-tax loss booked on classification of the assets as held for sale.

The most recent analyst rating on (AU:BOQ) stock is a Hold with a A$6.40 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Bank of Queensland stock, see the AU:BOQ Stock Forecast page.
