BMTC Group Inc. reports a slight revenue increase of 0.8% to $306.5 million in the first semester of 2024, with a notable contribution from its new real estate division. However, net earnings saw a significant decline to $20.9 million from the previous year’s $41.4 million, largely due to the prior year’s sale of a distribution center that had boosted earnings. The company’s share repurchase program had a marginal positive impact, and recent asset sales, including a store and an expropriation settlement, have brought additional gains.
