Bloomsbury Publishing ( (GB:BMY) ) has shared an announcement.

Bloomsbury Publishing has strengthened its board by appointing Academic & Professional Division Managing Director Jenny Ridout as an executive director, reinforcing the company’s tradition of giving academic publishing a direct voice at the top level. Ridout also leads Bloomsbury’s artificial intelligence initiatives and played a key role in recent AI training and technology partnerships, underlining the strategic importance of AI to the group’s future direction.

The company is overhauling its operating model, replacing its longstanding matrix structure with three vertical business units covering Global Academic & Professional, USA and Consumer UK, each with integrated editorial, sales, marketing, rights and audio teams. Central functions such as finance, operations and technology are being consolidated under the Chief Finance & Operations Officer, a move management says will increase agility, clarify accountability and better align Bloomsbury with growth opportunities in international, digital and technology-driven publishing.

The leadership changes include Sabrina McCarthy heading Bloomsbury USA with expanded responsibilities and Kathleen Farrar becoming Managing Director of Consumer UK, while former executive Ian Hudson retires from his full-time role to act as a strategic consultant. Executives say these structural shifts are designed to position Bloomsbury to respond more quickly to changing customer tastes, strengthen its global reach and support the next phase of long-term, technology-enabled expansion.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:BMY) stock is a Buy with a £825.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Bloomsbury Publishing stock, see the GB:BMY Stock Forecast page.
