Blaze Minerals ( (AU:BLZ) ) has provided an update.
Blaze Minerals has identified a copper-in-soil anomaly stretching roughly 1,000 metres by 100 metres at its Dinokwe Base Metals Project in Botswana, based on 1,794 soil samples collected to date. The anomaly, located on licence PL046 with copper values up to 288 ppm, coincides with a prominent shear or fault zone marked by quartz and pegmatitic blowouts, pointing to a potentially new style of mineralisation beyond typical ultramafic and amphibolite-hosted types.
The company plans to complete its ongoing soil sampling program, conduct infill sampling and trenching over the anomaly, and expand targeting to similar structural zones across its ~1,771 km² Dinokwe licences. Management says the scale and geological setting of the discovery significantly enhance the project’s prospectivity and could reshape priority targets, potentially strengthening Blaze’s position in the regional copper-nickel exploration landscape.
