Blaze Minerals ( (AU:BLZ) ) has provided an announcement.
Blaze Minerals has begun field activities at its Dinokwe Base Metals Project in Botswana, where it is targeting copper-nickel mineralisation across three granted prospecting licences and one application area totaling 1,771 square kilometres. The project lies within the Limpopo Mobile Belt, a well-endowed geological region that also hosts the significant Selebi-Phikwe copper-nickel deposit, underscoring the strategic potential of Blaze’s new ground.
Initial work at Dinokwe centres on a systematic soil sampling campaign over priority zones defined by regional geophysics, supplemented by geological mapping and rock-chip sampling on licence PL046 before extending to neighbouring licences PL0349 and PL0350. This first-pass program marks a rapid mobilisation following Blaze’s recent acquisition agreement in Botswana and is designed to identify broad geochemical anomalies that could be refined into drill targets, potentially enhancing the company’s exploration pipeline and regional footprint.
