Black Rock Mining Limited ( (AU:BKT) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Black Rock Mining is nearing completion of its early works program at the Mahenge Graphite Project in Tanzania, positioning the operation to move quickly into full construction once funding is secured and a Final Investment Decision is reached. The program includes improvements to site access roads, bulk earthworks and ensuring resettlement and compensation obligations for project-affected communities are completed to national standards.
The company has finished community compensation for the project’s lower access road, awarded the bulk earthworks contract to local firm Taifa Mining and Civils, and completed preliminary surveys for a new 220kV transmission line that will connect Mahenge to hydro-dominated grid power. Validated contract pricing in line with its 2022 engineering design and expected completion of final earthworks and resettlement by late Q2 2026 significantly de-risk the project and enhance its cost and environmental positioning versus graphite peers reliant on diesel power.
The planned Ifakara–Mahenge power line is also described as a transformative infrastructure upgrade for the wider Mahenge region, promising competitively priced electricity and supporting the project’s green credentials. These steps collectively strengthen Black Rock’s readiness for construction, support lender conditions, and improve the long-term operating economics and sustainability profile of the graphite operation.
The most recent analyst rating on (AU:BKT) stock is a Hold with a A$0.01 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Black Rock Mining Limited stock, see the AU:BKT Stock Forecast page.
