Biotalys NV, an AgTech company, has announced a new biofungicide research program, BioFun-8, targeting the leaf spot fungus Alternaria in crops including fruits, vegetables, and potatoes. The program will utilize the company’s AGROBODY 2.0 technology to create a solution for a market estimated at USD 1.1 billion, while addressing issues of chemical resistance and regulatory challenges. Biotalys already has a product, EVOCA, under regulatory review, and several other biocontrol projects in its pipeline.
