Biotalys Gains Approval for Biofungicide Trials in Netherlands

Biotalys NV (DE:86C) has released an update.

Biotalys NV, an AgTech company, has received approval from the Dutch CTGB for large-scale greenhouse trials of its biofungicide EVOCA, with the harvested crops being permissible for human consumption. This marks a significant step for Biotalys, as EVOCA is a novel protein-based biocontrol that targets fungal diseases and is also currently under review by regulatory authorities in both the U.S. and the European Union. The approval for trials in the Netherlands is particularly noteworthy given the country’s stature as a major global exporter of fruits and vegetables.
