Academy Metals ( (TSE:BFM) ) has shared an announcement.
Bedford Metals Corp. has completed its Phase 3 exploration program for 2025 at the Sheppard Lake Uranium Project, wrapping up an intensive field season that included three targeted radiometric surveys, prospecting, and 18 grab samples across the TZ-1, TZ-2 west, and Warr Lake areas. The work delineated several anomalous zones—particularly at TZ-2 west and TZ-1—and identified a promising Silica Cap Zone at Warr Lake, where high CPS readings and distinct lithology suggest potential for an alaskite-style or basement-hosted uranium deposit. Despite extreme cold limiting drilling to 298.5 metres across two holes south of TZ-2, Bedford collected 92 samples, including drill core, which have been sent for multi-element and U3O8 assay analysis, and plans to resume a fully funded drill program in spring 2026 targeting TZ-2, TZ-1, and Warr Lake. The results strengthen the geological case for Sheppard Lake’s uranium potential and underscore the company’s continued push to advance exploration in proximity to the Athabasca Basin while emphasizing environmental responsibility and collaboration with local Indigenous communities.
