Beauce Gold Fields to Launch Follow-Up Drilling at Grondin Saddle-Reef Discovery

Story Highlights
  • Beauce Gold Fields will start a 1,500‑metre follow-up drill program at the Grondin Zone in March 2026 to test strike and depth extensions of its Saddle-Reef gold structure.

Beauce Gold Fields ( (TSE:BGF) ) has provided an update.

Beauce Gold Fields is a Canadian exploration company focused on developing the largest placer gold district in eastern North America. Its flagship Saint-Simon-les-Mines project in Quebec targets the bedrock sources of historic placer gold deposits, including sites of Canada’s first gold rush and some of the country’s largest recorded gold nuggets.

The company is pursuing a geological model in which gold-rich placer deposits are derived from stressed quartz pockets within antiform structures, notably Saddle Reef formations. Current drilling on newly identified antiform systems in the Beauce region aims to define economic lode gold deposits analogous to globally significant Saddle Reef camps such as Bendigo in Australia and Dufferin in Nova Scotia.

Beauce Gold Fields plans a follow-up diamond drilling program of up to 1,500 metres at the Grondin Zone in March 2026 to advance its Saddle-Reef discovery. Using a 3‑D geological model that integrates 2023 and 2025 drilling, the company will test strike and depth extensions within a gold-bearing antiform structure that forms part of an 8‑kilometre structural corridor.

The new campaign will target down-dip extensions, evaluate strike continuity, and refine understanding of the structural controls on mineralization within the Saddle-Reef antiform. This work fits into a broader strategy to confirm the antiform-hosted structure as a key bedrock source for the historic Beauce placer gold deposits, with results potentially strengthening the project’s scale and continuity for stakeholders.
