Banco Bilbao ( (BBVA) ) has shared an update.

BBVA, the Spanish multinational bank, reported strong first-quarter 2026 results, with net profit reaching €2.99 billion, up 10.8% year-on-year (14.1% at constant exchange rates), driven by 17% loan growth and more than 20% growth in net interest income. The bank posted high returns (ROE 20.7%, ROTE 21.7%), improved efficiency, and strengthened capital with a CET1 ratio of 12.83%, while its main markets, notably Mexico and Spain, delivered solid lending and earnings growth and risk metrics improved, including a lower non-performing loan ratio and higher coverage.
