Banco BBVA Argentina ( (BBAR) ) has shared an announcement.

On April 1, 2026, Banco BBVA Argentina disclosed that it has been notified of a class action lawsuit filed by consumer and environmental association ACYMA. The case, pending before Commercial Court No. 27 in Buenos Aires, targets credit card transactions made by individual customers in foreign currencies other than the U.S. dollar that were converted into dollars without disclosure of the exchange rate and with an alleged overcharge or commission.

The claim seeks to protect a broad group of affected consumers, but the bank said the lawsuit has been brought for an indeterminate amount that cannot yet be quantified with certainty. BBVA indicated it is analyzing the complaint and defining its legal strategy, and stated that even in the event of an adverse ruling, it does not expect the dispute to have a significant impact on its assets or ongoing operations.
